TownDesk is run by Bryan in Cleveland County, North Carolina. Questions or requests go to bryan@tryneverclosed.com.
What we keep
- Resident conversations with a town's front desk: the latest 200 messages of each conversation, so staff can read them and step in.
- Records requests and grant deadlines that town staff log in TownDesk.
- Phone calls to a town's TownDesk line: the caller's number, a short summary and the start of the transcript are sent to town staff as an alert. The call recording and transcript are kept in TownDesk's phone account so staff can review the call.
- Your IP address, for 10 minutes, to stop abuse of the free demo.
What we don't keep
- Meeting recordings, transcripts and draft minutes are processed to make the draft and are not stored by TownDesk. You keep the draft by copying or downloading it.
- Records-request letters and grant drafts are not stored after they are written.
- No ads, no tracking scripts, no cookies for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts TownDesk and stores the data listed above.
- Deepgram turns meeting audio into a transcript.
- Anthropic (Claude) writes the drafts and the front-desk answers.
- Retell answers calls to a town's TownDesk phone line.
Each one gets only what its job needs. We never sell data or use it for anything other than running TownDesk.
Your town's data
It stays the town's. Export it any time. Ask, and we delete all of it within 7 days.
Closed sessions
The minutes tool is built to keep closed-session discussion out of the draft. Check every draft before it becomes official.
